Managing and Planning for Guided Reading

One of our goals as teachers is to help students become skillful, independent readers.  Guided Reading is a key component in achieving this goal.  Guided Reading creates an opportunity for teachers to work with small groups of students and to support them as they develop reading strategies and tackle new and increasingly difficult texts.

Proper management and planning are critical indicators for success with Guided Reading. With the help of inspired teachers, Schoolwide has created some helpful management and planning tools.
