Researchers have found that there are seven basic writing traits. To improve the quality of student writing teachers across the country have used 6 +1 Writing Traits to teach and evaluate writing. Because so many teachers have found using 6 + 1 Writing Traits so valuable, Schoolwide has joined with the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory (NWREL) to create book sets that match all 7 writing traits. If you are familiar with the 6 + 1 Writing Traits model, you will find these sets to be an incredible supplement to your curriculum.
